Prospek ekspor kopi Indonesia ke Cina mencapai 50 ribu ton, ini merupakan kesempatan dan peluang bagi Indonesia untuk membidik negara Tirai Bambu ini. Ajang promosi pameran di tingkat dunia sangat diperlukan bagi Indonesia di tengah momentum yang tepat bagi kebangkitan ekonomi nasional setelah mengalami krisis pada tahun 2008 melanda seluruh dunia. Dalam event pameran ini sebanyak 192 negara dan 50 organisasi internasional akan meramaikan perayaan kebersamaan dunia ini di kompleks maha megah yang secara mengagumkan dibangun oleh pemerintah Tiongkok di atas areal seluas 5,28 km2. Oleh karena itu, Indonesia ingin meningkatkan pangsanya di pasar kopi olahan harus berusaha secara sungguh-sungguh agar dapat bersaing di pasar kopi olahan dunia.
Jika melihat Jumlah coffee roasting companies di China juga semakin banyak. Tahun 2009 yang lalu, jumlahnya hanya 25 perusahaan saja, dan sekarang sudah bertambah menjadi 30 perusahaan. Penjualan kopi pada konsumen di Shanghai maupun di kota-kota sekitarnya juga semakin meningkat. Dalam pangsa kopi Indonesia masih terdapat peluang untuk pengembangan perkopian Indonesia dimana permintaan produk-produk kopi dan olahannya masih sangat tinggi, terutama di pasar domestik dengan penduduk yang melebihi 237 juta jiwa merupakan pasar potensial. Peluang ekspor terbuka terutama bagi negara- negara pengimpor wilayah nontradisional seperti Asia Timur, Asia Selatan, Timur Tengah dan Eropa Timur.
